We are running a sweepstakes to win a trip to Israel with a hotel stay. It works like this: Support a child for two weeks with a donation of $36.00 and enter the sweepstakes. If you convince 10 people to buy their own sweepstakes raffle ticket, you’ll earn another raffle ticket at no further cost to you!
Our newest video, with an inside look at what Yad Ezra V’Shulamit accomplishes is attracting many viewers. Visitors to Israel have been volunteering to help us to deliver food baskets. You can join us! Send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer, also.
Did you know that volunteerism makes people feel better about themselves? Imagine how you’ll feel when you meet like-minded people, the Yad Ezra v’Shulamit staff members, and end up with some new friends. Life is balanced with a “give and get” approach. When people invest their energies in improving their community, they will benefit just as much as the people whom they helped. You come out looking like a hero or heroine, caring and compassionate. People often consider do-gooders to be smarter than the average person, too. Self-esteem rises for everyone concerned, and the chemicals that happiness generates cause a long-lasting sense of satisfaction. It’s a great feedback loop for all concerned.
The people we help cover the entire spectrum of Israel’s population: immigrants from many countries, longtime Israelis, religious and non-religious. Did you know that 1/3 of Israel’s children live under the poverty line? We’re doing our best to help them to get out of the cycle of poverty. Only 7.8% of your donations go to our administrative costs. Over 92% of all donations go directly to Yad Ezra V’Shulamit’s beneficiaries.
