A Time to Remember for Those in Need
Purim is a time of joy and celebration. But it can be difficult for those dealing with the loss of a loved one or struggling to make ends meet.
At Yad Ezra V'Shulamit, we believe no one deserves to suffer because of poverty, or the loss of a loved one. We operate children's centers, sponsor weddings of orphans and those in need, distribute weekly food baskets, food vouchers, and do several other things to support people during the vulnerable times of their lives.
We strive to make those people feel cared for, no matter what hardships they experience.
Rose's Story
The story of Rose breaks our hearts. She is alone with her children after losing her husband in a car accident and has recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness. It's devastating for her to be in so much physical and mental pain, with no one to turn to.
One of the families we are helping this Purim is Rose's family. We have already stepped in to provide her family with assistance, and enrolled the older children at our children's center.
We will ensure that Rose, and her children, along with many other poor Israeli families, are cared for this holiday season.
Spreading the Joy of Purim
No one in Israel should starve or suffer pain during, especially during the holidays. That's why we provide a festive holiday meal, food vouchers, and gifts to widows and orphans, for Purim. In addition, to the weekly care we give them, throughout the year. We are helping these families so that they can enjoy the holidays like everyone else.
