What Yad Ezra V’Shulamit is Doing for Passover 2022

We think about those Jewish people's struggles and challenges during those 40 years in the desert: hunger, thirst, isolation, uncertainty. We imagine what it would mean to experience a miracle in our lives and how it would feel to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.

And then, we realize that while our struggles may be different from those Jewish people in the Exodus story, they are no less real. For many people in Israel facing hunger, Passover (Pesach) can be a challenging time of year.

Many of us observe the holiday with a special family meal (seder), but thousands won't even have essential foods to eat. But we are here to bring a change.

Yad Ezra V’Shulamit has been operating for over 30 years now and helping families across Israel to fight hunger. The biggest thing we are doing for Passover 2022 is feeding as many as possible during the holiday.

We know that this time of year is tough for families who have trouble putting food on the table every day, so we're doing all that we can to help them out.

We expect to give away 55,000 food baskets and food vouchers through 80 distribution points in 47 cities. Baskets will include chicken, matza, grape juice, oil, fruits, vegetables, and other basics for the holiday.

But this doesn't mean we're stopping there. There are still thousands more people on the waiting list who desperately need our help—and they will get it. We're also preparing thousands of extra food baskets for those people. Our goal is to expand this number because we don't want anyone to go hungry.

Our Passover 2022 event will help thousands of families have a happy holiday where they don't have to worry about feeding their children. And you can participate in this noble movement by donating to us.

When you donate to Yad Ezra V’Shulamit's Passover 2022 campagin, you provide a basket or voucher to a family and make it possible for us to reach people in need during this particular time of year.

We continue to hear from thousands of people who need help above and beyond. It's not possible for us to help all of them through our current system, but we're trying. Every little bit helps.

We need your help to get there. Join us in helping those in need by donating now! If you are still in doubt, please visit our Food Baskets projects to see how we are running the movement by giving away over 10,000 baskets each week.
