"My 2 children and I are without my husband, their father, who had to stay behind to fight in the army… I'm glad we made it out but I don't know how I can make a new life here in Israel, I'm just living one day at a time. We need food, a place to sleep, and I need formula and diapers for my little one…"

That's how Lena (31) describes her harrowing experience as a victim of the ongoing Russian invasion in Ukraine. She is just one of the thousands of Ukrainian refugees who have come to Israel. Families like Lena's have been ripped apart by conflict and chaos, and many of them, including some orphans, seek refuge in other countries.

Just imagine—if you had seen your country destroyed, and your home ravaged and family killed, too—how would you feel? Probably scared, confused, and hopeless. You might be thinking, "What's going to happen next? Where will I sleep tonight?" And if you were a parent, you'd be worried about the safety of your kids too.

Israel, who has experience dealing with large numbers of refugees and immigrants from both near and far, has offered to take in thousands of these helpless people. Yad Ezra V'Shulamit, who since 1988, has always given out food baskets to those in need, has partnered up with the Israeli government to help all of these refuges. It has stepped in to feed these families until they regain their footing.

Yad Ezra V'Shulamit is working around the clock to make sure that the refugees have enough wholesome food and other essentials they need. Their goal is to provide these families with a sense of normalcy during what must be a challenging time for them.

With the flood of these help-seeking people, the need for assistance becomes more urgent now than ever. If you would like to donate and help support these families and children during this terrible period of violence and uncertainty in their lives, please visit the Yad Ezra V'Shulamit website.

The organization aims to distribute food baskets and vouchers to these people in need. Its mission is to carry out the charity work as long as possible so the orphans and refugee families don't go hungry.

We know that many of you have had an emotional response to the crisis in Ukraine, so we're letting you do something about it. Beyond food donations for these orphans and families, we also need your financial support to keep providing them with the supplies they need. We believe that no family should worry about where their next meal is coming from.

By donating to Yad Ezra V'Shulamit today, you can ensure that Ukrainian orphans and families get the nutritious food they need without sacrificing their dignity.
