YES

For many people, it seems like one of the primary foundations of Judaism revolves around the holidays. There are no shortage of them! It is safe to assume that the majority of the Jewish people look forward to the holidays (except for the fact that most of their vacation days are used on these holidays)! Aside from that, it is a time of togetherness – to be with family and friends. Moreover and more importantly, people seem more generous around the holiday seasons. It is also a time of giving and helping people in need. However, there is an upcoming event that can really inspire people to help the hungry, even more so than the holiday season. So, save the date! This coming June 2nd, 2015 (Tuesday), we will be running a major charity event that will likely be larger than any other event we have organized.

Okay, I’m Excited; Tell Me More!

We are running this charity event through “Charidy.” For those of you not familiar with Charidy: it is a website that “combines the power of big donors and crowdfunding.” Our target is to raise $100,000.

The Catch:

These events are ongoing for 24 hours only! The target must be hit within these 24 hours. If it’s not, the money goes back to you – the people who donated.

Why This Event is Huge:

There is one more piece of information that is very important to know. A Charidy “campaign” has 3 “matchers” who donate $1 for every $1 you donate. So now, $1 is really worth $4! Our target goal is to raise $100,000, however if we reach this amount, the total dollar amount donated to our families in need will be $400,000! Needless to say, the potential value here is significant.

Save the Date:

Make sure to save the date (June 2nd, 2015) in your calendar. If you are not part of our newsletter, please sign up now. We will send out an email reminder to our list. Additionally, be sure to check back to our website, as we will also have a reminder for you there as well.

On behalf of all of the hungry children and families under our care, we would like to thank you in advance for helping us in times of need!
