YES

Israeli tourism sees countless vacationers coming from the US. These mainly include organizational groups touring the land of Israel (such as Birthright), Seminary students, Federation missions, families looking for an historical and fun experience, etc. We can go on and on. These people coming to Israel undoubtedly have every day plans while they are here, and for good reason. You are coming to the Holy Land – there is no shortage of activities you probably want to complete!

Well, if you have been to Israel multiple times (or even if it’s your first time) and you are looking for something unique to do for you and/or your family, come by the Yad Ezra V’Shulamit warehouse! Unlike other organizations, we love it when donors AND non donors swing by – we really do!

If you come visit our warehouse, we will give you a tour of the place and show you how our staff deals with the daily tasks of running a help center. Moreover, you will have the option of packing food baskets alongside our staff. And, your tour experience will come with a personal short presentation and interactive workshop on poverty in Israel. Additionally, worried about the heat, especially if you are coming in the summer? Don’t be! You will be helping to pack these food baskets in a clean, comfortable and air conditioned environment!

On top of helping to break the cycle of poverty in Israel by packing food baskets, this activity can also be a valuable life lesson for your family/kids, as we have pointed out before.
